What this site collects

This page describes the Exalted website. The Exalted product will have its own policy before it opens.

The waitlist

If you submit the form on this site we store the email address you typed, the country your request came from, and the time you submitted. That is the whole record. We use it once, to tell you when Exalted opens.

We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone outside Exalted. Ask us to delete it at any time and we will, without asking why.

How you move through the site, if you allow it

The first time you visit, we ask whether we may record how you use the site. Until you choose Allow, nothing is recorded and nothing is stored in your browser. One answer covers this site, the Exalted Edition and the Exalted hub.

If you allow it, we record:

  • which pages and sections you view, how long, and how far down you scroll;
  • where you click or tap, as a position on the part of the page you pressed;
  • the path your mouse pointer takes across the page, sampled a few times a second;
  • which links and buttons you use, and that you joined the waitlist (not your address);
  • where your first visit came from: the campaign name in the link, and the website that sent you.

We never record what you type, the contents of any field, or your keystrokes. These records carry a random visitor number stored in your browser and in a cookie on the Exalted domain, so the site, the Edition and the hub count you once. If you later create an Exalted account and sign in, that number is linked to your account. We keep these records for 90 days (to be confirmed) and use them only to make Exalted better.

You can change your answer at any time with the Privacy button at the bottom of the page. Choosing No thanks deletes the visitor number from your browser.

What we do not do

There is no advertising pixel on this site and no third-party tracker. Nothing here follows you to another website, and nothing we record is sold or shared for advertising.

What the host sees

This site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived request logs for security and abuse prevention in the ordinary way any web host does. If you allow analytics, Cloudflare's bot check (Turnstile) may run once to confirm a person is browsing before anything is sent.
